URGENT Support Lyndsay's Fight: Live Liver Donor Needed
Donation protected
** Please see the new update. Lyndsay is now in urgent need of a live liver donor.
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
I’m reaching out to you today on behalf of my childhood best friend, Lyndsay Richholt. As many of you know, she is currently facing one of the most challenging fights of her life. After 17 years of graciously battling autoimmune hepatitis with liver cirrhosis, her quality of life has drastically declined. Just this week, she has finally been given the opportunity to join the BC liver transplant waitlist.
While this transplant will give Lyndsay a second chance at life, the journey ahead is filled with both emotional and financial challenges. Highly driven and accomplished in her career, Lyndsay has unfortunately been unable to work for nearly 8 months already, and will need to be off for several more. She will be receiving her transplant in Vancouver, and as you can imagine, travel costs (flights to and from Vancouver), accommodations and food/daily living expenses for at least 3 months, as well as post-surgery recovery costs can be overwhelming. We want to ensure that Lyndsay, her husband Jeremiah, and their son Liam, can focus on healing without the added stress of how to cover these expenses.
Lyndsay is an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend. Her positivity is infectious and her strength and determination throughout this process has been so inspiring. Lyndsay has always been there for everyone around her, and now, it’s our turn to support her during this critical time. This transplant will give her the chance to live a longer, healthier life and be there for her loved ones, but we need your help to alleviate the financial stress.
Any contribution—big or small—will make a world of difference. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign with your friends and family will also mean so much to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity, support, and love. Together, we can help Lyndsay and her family take this crucial step toward recovery.
With deepest gratitude,
Shari D'Angelo
