Friends, Family and Supporters – Thank you in advance for your consideration and support as we take on this long, overwhelming fight to keep Kris healthy. We will need, and appreciate, your support so very much.

Earlier this month, while on what was supposed to be a relaxing family vacation, our dearest Kris Valencia started experiencing double vision - a sign of what we would later learn is caused by tumors in his head and neck pressing on his optic nerve. In the weeks since, after an incredibly slow and confusing maze of obstacles navigating the complexities of our medical system and insurance approvals, we’ve learned that our most likely road forward will not be a short or easy one.

We’re still waiting to fully understand the scope of his illness and what the next few months will look like, but as we prepare to face this challenging journey ahead, we’re confronted not only with the physical and emotional toll of the disease but also with the financial strain that comes with medical treatment. With mounting medical bills, lost wages due to his inability to work, and other expenses piling up, Kris is in need of our help.

What We Are Asking:

We are fortunate enough to have an amazing support system of people, and we’re grateful for all of the love, words of encouragement, prayers, food and groceries that we have and will continue to receive.

What we need is your monetary support. A slice of happy news despite these trying circumstances, Kris and Jim officially tied the knot after eloping in Vegas on Thursday, February 8, 2024. They continue to love and support each other everyday, and are blessed to be able to face this chapter together as husbands.

We understand that this news may come as a shock. We will do our best to keep everyone updated as we navigate this long journey to recovery.
