On Saturday, July 12th, our good friend Josh McKenna suffered a severe stroke.

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting Josh, you know how big his heart is. Beyond being the warm and welcoming bar manager at Town Portal, Josh is a cornerstone of Bremerton — the kind of person who knows everyone, and whom everyone loves in return. This gentle giant has been a bright light in so many of our lives, and it's unimaginable what he’s now facing.

Josh has a long and difficult road to recovery ahead. We don’t yet know what the future holds, but we do know that he’s going to fight with everything he has to heal. That journey will require months of therapy, rehabilitation, and rest — and during that time, he won’t be able to work.

Josh’s love for this community burns incredibly bright. Now it’s our turn to shine that light back on him — with our support, our generosity, and our love.
