Hello, this is Jessica’s family. After a few difficult months of ER visits, tests, hospital stays, and rehab our mother still has been left with an incomplete diagnosis.

What we know now — she has a spinal cord injury that has left her unable to walk, move her hands, and is causing loss of motor skills and cognition. She is currently en route to KU Med after two previous hospital stays without answers.

Jessica has been a member of the Lawrence community for years. Before her life turned upside down she was a staple at a local brunch spot, Milton’s. She is a strong mom and a fighter, now putting in the work in rehab.

In the midst of her medical crisis, she has been unable to work leading to a mass of medical debt and living expenses.
