Hi everyone, my name is Amber for those of you who do not know me. The reason for the start of this GoFundMe campaign is for a reason that everyone hopes to never be in regarding my brother-in-law, Jason Thompson.
On Monday, Dec 29th, 2025, just a few days after Christmas Day, and also his birthday, Jason was admitted to the hospital for emergent changes in his health. What we were hoping to find out in the situation was benign matters, but the life of my family took a turn in ways I wish for no one to ever experience. Within the following day of testing/performing a biopsy, a tumor was found in his lower esophagus near the stomach. Jason was diagnosed with stage 3 esophageal cancer, already showing progression to the lymphatic system. This news has changed the future for my family. It is something I wish no one to ever have to go through.
This last year and a half has been a series of unfortunate events for my sister and brother-in-law. This was something unimaginable and of course life altering, in more ways than I can describe.
Unfortunately, my brother-in-law and my sister Nina do not have health insurance, making it much harder to navigate treatment and recovery on a single income. There are many prospects to consider at this moment. So I am asking all who can to donate whatever you can afford. I understand everybody has financial difficulties regarding multiple situations in life at this time. But my family really needs a miracle right now. And I’m just asking everybody to come together to help this cause. I feel helpless in this situation. Any donation would be much appreciated from the bottom of our hearts. All proceeds will go towards medical treatment, bills, and other life expenses. The next phases of treatment include an anticipated, four months of chemotherapy, followed by surgical removal of the tumor given, everything goes accordingly.
If you have any questions, please reach out to me or directly to my sister, Nina Hall. As many of you know, they have a 13-year-old son together. So this is such a difficult diagnosis to receive with such uncertainty lying ahead of us. Please pray for my family for a miracle of God Almighty. Thank you, and God bless you all.
