Support Jack while he goes through open heart surgery! Jack is 14 years old and has a rare connective tissue disorder called Loeys-Dietz syndrome. He was diagnosed at the age of 5 and has been followed for many years by the wonderful doctors at Shands in Gainesville, Fl. We recently received the news we’ve been dreading. Jack will be undergoing open heart surgery to fix one of his four aneurysms on March 4th. He will be in the hospital for, at least, a week. Due to a higher risk of infection and complications, we’ve had to buy all new pjs, towels, bedding, underclothes, and loads of cleaning products to sanitize everything and everywhere Jack will be after surgery. I’ve hired a cleaner so as not to take any risks. Think “boy in the bubble”. We’ll all be traveling two hours for his surgery and will be staying in local accommodations while staying with Jack in hospital. We’ll keep him in Gainesville for a few days after he’s released from the hospital, just in case. Our families have banded together but funds are still tight. All money donated will go to travel, accommodations, food, and necessities for Jack’s recovery. With your help, we can get through this. Thank you ♥️
