Hello Friends and Family,

I'm reaching out today to ask your support for my sister-in law, a friend, teacher, daughter, mom, sister, aunt and overall someone who has given so much to others—Jackie Garcia.

Recently, Jackie received the news that she had a tumor on her kidney (Renal Cell Carcinoma). She underwent surgery had to have her kidney removed, and is now undergoing intensive cancer treatment. With the physical and emotional toll, this journey is even harder with the overwhelming financial burden. Jackie is facing extensive out-of-pocket costs—insurance isn’t covering necessary scans, deductibles are sky-high, and she’s looking at a full year of cancer treatments. Like so many others in this position, she’s been forced to take out loans just to access the care she needs even with medical insurance.

For anyone who knows Jackie, her fun and generous spirit is unforgettable. She’s the kind of person who shows up, again and again—for friends, neighbors, strangers her family, game nights and Karaoke. Whether she’s organizing care packages for the homeless, bringing joy to children in Colombia through holiday toy drives or helping her students, Jackie has always put others first.

Now, it's our turn to show up for her.

We’re asking for donations of any amount to help relieve some of the financial pressure Jackie is facing. Every contribution will go directly to her treatment, tests, and the basic costs of getting through this incredibly hard time.
