On April 10, my young 23-year-old cousin, Hope Amezcua, suffered a terrible seizure while asleep, after having enjoyed a family dinner a few hours earlier. An ambulance was called to transport her to the nearest hospital where, after multiple tests, a mass was found on her brain.
After 10 days in the hospital, there are still no clear explanations as to what the mass is exactly. There are no clear next steps as of yet; however, what is certain is that Hope will have to continue to be in the hospital until a prognosis and treatment are determined.
Hope works full-time; however, she has had to request a leave of absence while she navigates this very difficult and stressful health crisis with an uncertain date of when she will be able to return to work. The enormity of the health bills she will have to wade through is also adding to the stress and concern she is feeling at the moment.
Our goal is to raise funds to help Hope address her immediate basic needs, including maintaining her home while she is fighting this serious health issue, and to help her pay any medical bills in relation to this health crisis.
For those who have dealt with any type of serious health crisis, you might relate to the feeling of fear and uncertainty of this type of health crisis and financial stress. And if you feel compelled and are able, we humbly request you join us in providing support to my young cousin during this critical time of her young life. ANY AMOUNT HELPS and we thank you in advance for your support.
