Support & Help Hlub Fight Cancer
Hello everyone,
My name is Tiffany and I am the wife of Hlub Kong. A name that resembles love. Sometimes life throws you a curveball, and that curveball happened to us recently. The unexpected and heartbreaking news happened to my husband all because of a simple ear pain check-up with his primary doctor. The simple check-up lead us to see his doctor from Froedtert in Milwaukee Wisconsin. From that moment, it changed our lives. We want to let extended families and friends know that he has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer called parotid gland squamous cell carcinoma in April of 2025. A tumor on the right side of his face. A rare and invasive cancer that his doctor can't give an answer to yet. The unknown on how his cancer started. He will have to either go through a complex surgery including four other doctors such as his head and neck doctor, ear doctor, brain doctor and plastic surgery doctor to remove the tumor, chemotherapy and radiation or immunotherapy. His doctor has not given us answers regarding what the best course of action is for his treatment. His doctor is still communicating with the other doctors and the tumor board. More testing and imaging are being done due to the cancer being rare for his age. His doctor said my husband is a healthy 33-year-old who shouldn't have this cancer. His cancer is usually found in people 65 years or older. All resources and precautions are being taken into consideration for his treatment.
As we all know, with life, we all have to work. He has always worked hard to make money and provide the best love that he can for everyone around him. He was recently unemployed as of March 2025 because his company shut down unexpectly. He was self-employed. As you know, I am the main source of income while he is focusing on his health to beat this cancer. Therefore, between his multiple doctors and appointments there is so much more that has to be done yet. It is just the beginning of his journey.
As for those who know him and for those who don't, anything will help with the financial burden and support.
Our families ask you all to keep Hlub in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for taking the time to read his story. Thank you to everyone for all your kind words and encouragement. Hlub has been and will be informed of your wishes for a speedy recovery.
We will keep updating everyone as we know more.
With love,
Hlub and the family ❤

Update as of 06/04/2025:
We are still waiting to hear back from his doctor on treatment. We are meeting soon with two other doctors on his doctor's team. Hopefully once we meet with his team, his doctor will let us know more.
While we are waiting we have decided to seek a second opinion at Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota in the coming weeks.
As the day and time go by we truly hope to find an answer soon. It has been about almost two months since we found out about my husband's cancer and nothing yet to ease our minds.
We will keep everyone updated once we know more.
Please keep us in your prayers.
Lastly we would like to thank everyone so far for all your love, support and donations. Our hearts are so filled with love and joy.
Love,
Hlub and the Family ❤

We have talked to the team in Milwaukee along with the doctors at Mayo. We will be starting with chemotheraphy in Milwaukee and then radiation/chemotheraphy in Minnesota.
My husband has started his first cycle of chemotheraphy treatment.
We hope that as he officially starts his journey we ask for eveyone to keep him in your prayers.
It will be a long journey ahead of us with traveling and lodging but we know that it's the best treatment that he will be recieving.

Update as of 08/06/2025
My husband is on his last cycle of treatment. We recently found out that his tumor increased in size and got bigger. His doctor was hoping that the chemo would shrink the tumor but it didn't. So we will be going to Mayo soon for radiation and chemo for seven or more weeks. All his doctors are watching and monitoring him closely to make sure everything is good before his next step.
Thank you everyone for your support and love. We truly appreciate all of our family and friends.
Love,
Hlub and the family ❤
