Dear friends and family,

As some of you know, Cathy and I are excited about our fast approaching month-long trip to Vietnam, the homeland of our Buddhist teacher, Zen Master and peace activist Thich Nhat Hanh. We leave on March 29.

This GoFundMe is in support of our tour organizer, the Loving Work Foundation (LWF), a nonprofit inspired by Thich Nhat Hanh, dedicated to transforming lives and fostering community resilience. LWF invites individuals and communities everywhere into a web of connection with the people and land of Vietnam.

Our group of 20 will visit a number of humanitarian projects which LWF partners, such as Project RENEW — which works to remove unexploded munitions and assist Vietnamese people disabled by mines or the long-term effects of Agent Orange.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps LWF build a brighter future for those they serve in Vietnam.

We look forward to carrying each of you in our hearts on our journey across the ocean, and sharing stories and photos upon our return. (FYI: LWF is based in Hanoi with an office in South Carolina.)
