My name is Hannah Darden and I am 27 years old. I have been blessed with two amazing children and an unexpected gift of a my third little one that was born October 26,2025.

In April of 2024, I had a seizure for the first time in my life on the way back from a family vacation. I was discharged from the hospital and told that it may have been a one-time occurrence. Two weeks later, I was at work while my classroom students were eating lunch and had a seizure once again.

In May of 2024, I was blessed with doctors who did everything possible to have me scheduled to see a surgeon at Emory Hospital. At my first appointment at Emory, I was given the news that I had a large glioma located on my left temporal lobe. I had my craniotomy at Emory Hospital on June 5th, 2024. I have been diagnosed with WHO Grade 2 Astrocytoma IDH R-132C Mutant. I now have to have an MRI every 3 months and was informed that my cancer is not curable.

After having surgery, I had to resign from teaching in October of 2024 and we have struggled both financially and emotionally. We are fundraising to help cover medical expenses and support our family during this challenging time.
