Monday after work Eric was walking Luna in the same place and same time he does most evenings when a car sped passed him and then proceeded to do a U-turn to come back in his direction. Before Eric could comprehend what was going on the man got out of his unmarked vehicle with a gun and shot at Luna and struck her in the jaw, the man then pointed to gun up to Eric where Eric was pleading for his life and begging to go take care of his dog. By the grace of God, the gunman did not shoot Eric and Eric was able to get a picture of his license plate. Eric now has the authorities involved and is pressing charges. We are so grateful that Luna is now stable after multiple surgeries and that Eric is safe, however as you can imagine the toll this has taken both financially and emotionally has been a lot. We ask if anyone is able to donate funds to show our support for Eric during this time to pay medical bills and alleviate some stress we know he would be very grateful.
