Join Us in Supporting Deseon's Fight

Dear friends and family,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support in helping Deseon. As many of you know, Deseon has always been there for his family, friends, and neighbors in the community by showing love, kindness, and generosity to everyone he meets. He has held toy drives supporting several families through the holidays, works closely with individuals on the spectrum (including my own son), hosts the talent show at Good Neighbor Day and given away tons of hot chocolate for the community during the Downingtown parade, most recently on the day after his first surgery. Now, it’s our turn to be there for him.

Deseon has been diagnosed with kidney failure. He is currently on week two of an unplanned stay at the hospital and will begin dialysis this week—much sooner than expected and will be a long road ahead. The physical and emotional toll of this illness is overwhelming, but the thought of maintaining his barber shop and disappointing all of his wonderful clients is equally challenging. It pains him to not be in the shop serving his community.

So we’ve started a fundraiser to help alleviate some of the stress and ensure that Deseon gets the time he needs to fight this battle. He has to focus on recovery but also have some energy left to spend time with his four beautiful teenage daughters, attending as many of their performances and milestones through life and school as possible. The very last thing he needs to worry about is paying bills and maintaining the business he fought so hard to establish on his own.

This fundraiser isn’t just about financial support—it’s about showing Deseon that he is not alone in this fight. He has always been the one to lend a hand to others, and now we have the chance to give back. No contribution is too small—every little bit helps!

We know the road ahead will be challenging, but with your help, we can make it a little easier for him. Let’s come together and show Deseon just how much he means to all of us.
