Support David Weirtz walking again!
Donation protected
Some of you may already know, but David had a fall on the ice recently that caused two traumatic fractures in his leg and one in the ankle. He had to have surgery to install a rod and 6 screws from his knee to his ankle. He is getting past the painful part of the recovery, but he still has what could be weeks to go before he can walk unassisted.
What he wants to do more than anything is return to work and get back to normal life.
What we, his friends, are trying to do is help with the expenses during this time that he needs to concentrate on mobility and healing. Like many of us, there is no insurance coverage for lost income, short-term disability, etc., to help cover day-to-day bills. Let's help our friend avoid this stress and get some physical therapy, so he can literally get "back on his feet."
The goal is to get our guy back to health, mobility, and work as soon as safely possible. No hiking or skiing invites will be responded to at this time, but he promises to take each and every one of you kayaking with him when the weather gets warm!
