About Dave:

Hello everyone, I'm reaching out on behalf of Dave Gilbertson, a husband, father of 2 daughters and beloved member of our community. Many of you may actually know Dave. He and his wife, Megan, own DG Textile Care and have been taking care of Loudoun County and the NOVA area carpets and rugs since 2017. On July 5th, while at work, he suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm caused by an Arteriovenous Malformation, which required immediate medical intervention. He was airlifted to Fairfax Hospital, where doctors performed a life-saving craniotomy and placed him on a ventilator to aid his recovery. As of now, Dave remains in the ICU, where he is under careful observation as doctors manage his condition and prepare for additional surgeries.

Dave's ruptured aneurysm has left him facing a long and uncertain road to recovery. He will require ongoing medical care, rehabilitation, and therapies to regain his health and strength. As a small business owner, Dave has always been there for our community, supporting local food drives and contributing to our neighborhoods. Now, it's our turn to come together and support him and his family during this difficult time.

How You Can Help:

DG Textile Care is still open for business. His wife, Megan, will continue to manage the daily operations, most likely from her laptop at the hospital. Even though Dave may have been your favorite, they have other equally skilled technicians. Please continue to schedule with them, as the family counts on this business. In addition, I am starting this GoFundMe to help pay for the increasing medical bills Megan is facing during this difficult time. Your generous donations will go directly towards covering Dave's medical expenses, including hospital bills, surgeries, rehabilitation services, and ongoing care. These funds will also support his family as they navigate this challenging journey alongside him. Even the smallest contribution can make a significant impact and provide much-needed relief during this stressful period for him, his wife, Megan and his daughters, Mia & Grace.
