My name is Katie and my husband, Brandon, had a right side brain bleed that led to a stroke. He had to be life-flighted from UVA Hospital to INOVA Fairfax Hospital and was placed in the Neuro ICU, which is where he remains presently. His whole left side is completely paralyzed, he's not able to move, and I know we have a long road to recovery ahead.

I hate even having to create this fundraiser for obvious reasons; however, I am sitting vigilantly by his bedside, which means there's no money coming in. I do have a few things lined up for future bills, but due to him being the breadwinner, I was completely caught off guard by this. He has worked so hard for everything we have, and I don't want to lose it all due to this tragic event.

Our son is attending Virginia State University for business management. He plays goalie for lacrosse and is a proud member of the Trojan explosion marching band. We have two cats, Noodle and Luna and one dog named Iroh. While my husband is focused on his present progress and future rehabilitation I need to be able to pay for our home, animals, and our sons incidentals while in college.

Please, if you are able, donate so I am able to keep up with bills until I can get back to work once he's stable.

Update:

He is able to eat and drink now, finally after 2 1/2 weeks with only tube feeds and IV liquids.

His left side is still completely paralyzed however, he is scheduled to start rehabilitation at Encompass Health sometime this week.
