Help Us in Supporting Autumn Hayes' Cancer Journey

Hi, we are the daughters of Autumn Hayes. Our names are Summer Hayes (20yrs) and Wynter Hayes (16yrs). Our Mom is 55 years old. She was a nurse, who devoted her life to helping others. She made the decision to give up her career to be a stay-at-home mother. In December, our world was shattered with the devastating news that our mom was diagnosed with an aggressive form of rectal/anal cancer called basaloid squamous cell carcinoma stage 2-T2. This is a very rare type of cancer, accounting for only around 1.6% of all anal cancers. She will be fighting an extremely hard and fierce battle.

Our family has chosen the expertise of the Taussig Cancer Center at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio to care for her. Our mom's team of doctors is aggressively treating her with 6+ weeks of intensive chemotherapy and radiation. She actively receives her chemoradiation 5 days per week. After her treatments are completed, her team will make the difficult decision in determining if radical surgery will be performed. This is just the beginning of her journey. As a family, we will fight together.

Our family has the expense of providing her with a caregiver, lodging, food, transportation, medication, and medical bills.
