Join Us in Supporting Austin and Koji

The community has requested how they can help Austin and Koji after Facebook posts and a touching photo taken by Mikayla Elizabeth of him holding a sign to find his dog a home went viral. We are hoping to raise funds to get Austin a car for work as we may have secured housing so that he and Koji can stay together right now.

Austin is a humble gentle man. He’s been down on his luck for a while, as people he should be able to trust, failed him repeatedly. He found his way to Redding for work but was mislead and found himself homeless again. He’s willing to work and just wants to earn a living wage and do what’s best for his dog, his only family, that is until he got to Redding.

We have stepped up as a community to help him as he rebuilds his life for himself and Koji. … and to show him that there are good people in the world. He is worthy of friendship and love.

We as a community have been knocked down and picked each other up to rebuild multiple times during the trauma that our county has had. Maybe that's why he's such a good fit and so many want to help!
