We ask for your support for our dear Araceli from La Popular Maka Tlan. Araceli is facing a challenging health situation and needs the support of her community. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in May of 2024, and she has had 21 chemotherapies, a surgery, and 33 radiation treatments. After being close to finishing her treatment, doctors found other tumors, and unfortunately, the cancer has metastasized to different parts of her body. She was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer and inflammatory cancer. Both types of cancer are highly aggressive and are in an advanced stage.

Araceli continues to stay strong in her faith in God, with the hope of winning this battle against cancer. She is applying to receive treatment at different specialized oncology centers outside of Oregon that focus on treating this type of cancer. She hopes to be accepted and needs financial support to cover the cost of the treatment, lodging, and other expenses.

Araceli has been a pillar of support for her two children, both emotionally and financially, through her business, La Popular Maka Tlan. Due to her illness, she has to stop working and focus on her health treatment for a few months. She needs support from all of us: her friends, her family, and her community, to which she has given much love, friendship, and delicious food. She has been a caring woman, supporting her community through cooking classes, sharing her culture and recipes, providing employment opportunities, and being a role model of strength to other Latina women.

Solicitamos de su ayuda para nuestra querida Araceli de La Popular Maka Tlan. Araceli está pasando por una situación difícil de salud y necesita el apoyo de su comunidad. Ella fue diagnosticada con cáncer del seno en Mayo de 2024 ya lleva 21 quimioterapia, cirugía, y 33 radiaciónes. Después de estar a punto de terminar su tratamiento, le encontraron otros tumores y el cáncer se ha pasado a otras partes de su cuerpo. Ella tiene cáncer de seno Triple Negativo y cáncer Inflamatorio los dos tipos son muy agresivos y desgraciadamente estan en una etapa avanzada.

Araceli sigue fuerte en su fe en Dios, y con esperanza de combatir el cáncer. Ella esta aplicando en algunos centros oncologicos especializados en tratamientos nuevos para ese tipo de cáncer fuera de Oregon de ser aceptada necesita ella cubrir su estancia y parte del tratamiento.

Araceli ha sido un pilar para sus hijos y en su negocio. Debido a su enfermedad, ella tiene que dejar de trabajar y enfocarse en su salud y tratamiento por unos meses. Nos necesita, a sus amigos, familia, y la comunidad a la que ella ha dado tanto con su cariño, amistad y sus deliciosas comidas. Ella ha sido una mujer que ha ayudado no solo a su familia, también a su comunidad impartiendo clases de cocina mexicana, creando oportunidades de empleo, compartiendo su cultura y ha sido un ejemplo de fortaleza para otras Mujeres Latinas.
