Amelia’s Journey: Strength, Love, and Hope

Amelia “Amy” Polus has always been the one lifting others up—cheering at Nikolai’s hockey games, supporting Alexandr’s speed skating dreams, helping pet owners through her veterinary work, and inspiring others on their wellness journeys. A former collegiate runner, entrepreneur, and devoted wife to Stephan, she balances family, fitness, and multiple businesses with unwavering compassion.

But in January 2025, everything changes.

A routine mammogram leads to a devastating diagnosis—breast cancer. With no family history, the news is a shock. Amelia now faces eight rounds of chemotherapy, followed by surgery, radiation, and a decade of oral treatment. While the prognosis is hopeful, the financial burden is overwhelming.

Her biggest concern isn’t herself—it’s her boys. She wants them to stay focused on their dreams, knowing their mom is fighting with everything she has. Now, the woman who has always lifted others needs support.
