Lighting the Way for Amber and her Type 1 Warrior!

Hello, I'm Carrie, and I'm here to share the story of my amazing sister, Amber, and my beloved nieces, Krystal and Khloe.
My sister Amber has always prioritized her children and grandchildren above all else. Earlier this year their lives took an unexpected turn when her youngest daughter, Khloe, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Since then, our family has witnessed Amber's incredible strength and unwavering love as she navigates this challenging journey.
When Khloe was diagnosed and subsequently hospitalized in February due to diabetic ketoacidosis, Amber never left her side, using up all her paid time off. Since then, we have witnessed Amber tirelessly juggling hospital stays, medical appointments, and the daunting task of being the sole provider for her family while also managing Khloe's medical care. Despite the hurdles, Amber returned to work the following week, determined to provide for her family. However, her employer's inability to accommodate her need for flexibility and denying her request for FMLA forced her to make the difficult decision to take an unpaid leave of absence.
Amber's dedication to her children is unwavering, but the financial strain is undeniable. With no financial assistance from the state or child support, she's been left to navigate this difficult journey alone. Medical bills, specialized dietary needs, and the loss of income during her leave have created a temporary hardship for Amber and her family.
As Amber transitions to a new job that offers the flexibility she needs, she's facing a gap in finances. I know of the power of love and community, and that this is where we can make a difference. Together, we can support Amber during this challenging time. Your donations will not only ease the financial strain of unpaid hours, medical expenses, and the transition between jobs, but also serve as a beacon of hope for the future.
Join us in wrapping Amber and her family in love and warmth. Your generosity will make a world of difference in their journey towards healing and resilience, and also serve as a reminder that they're not alone in this fight against Type 1 Diabetes. Thank you for being a source of light in their lives.
