In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

It all started on Friday when we rushed Sofía to the hospital after noticing some concerning symptoms. Initially the diagnos showed an internal bleeding in her brain. After several tests and exams, the doctors informed us that she needed immediate surgery. It was a very delicate procedure, and it took several hours. We were terrified but held on tightly to hope and prayer. Through it all, Sofía has been so strong and resilient.

The good news is that the surgery was successful, and the doctors were able to remove the tumor. However, we have also received some difficult news — the tumor came back positive for cancer

She has been diagnosed with Medulloblastoma, a type of brain cancer. Although we are grateful that the tumor is no longer present in her body, the doctors are recommending chemotherapy as the next step to ensure it doesn’t return.

As we begin this next phase of treatment, we humbly ask for your continued prayers and support. We trust in God’s healing power and believe that, with His help, Sofia will overcome this. We remain hopeful and look forward to the day when we can bring our little one home, healthy and whole.
