Let's make a Christmas miracle happen for Rez :)
While driving home last weekend, my fiancé and I found this severely malnourished dog in the middle of nowhere off of the highway. After speaking with a gas station attendant and learning that these "reservation dogs" run loose all the time with no care, we took matters into our own hands and loaded him into our car to come home with us.
After arriving home, we decided to name him Rez, since the only history we may know about him is that he was a reservation dog. Since he has been home, he has shown us nothing but extreme gratitude and love. He is such a sweet and mellow boy. He has bonded with our five and fourteen-year-old dogs as well, almost instantly. He enjoys taking lots of naps and long walks with his new siblings around the neighborhood.
After some thought and research, we decided to take him to the veterinarian to see if he is microchipped and, to no surprise, he is not. He was then looked over for any emergency medical conditions. The veterinarian noticed he has an enlarged kidney and most likely something going on with his lymph nodes. He is in need of blood work, x-rays, ultrasound, medications, and radiotherapy.
We are reaching out for donations in hopes of being able to get this big boy back on his feet and into a safe and loving home. We will be fostering him while we continue raising money towards his medical recovery. If you are able to donate or share this link with friends and family, we would appreciate it immensely.
