Help Christine Get the Liver Transplant She Needs to Survive

Time is running out—and we need your help.

My name is Guy, and I’m writing this with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit. My mom, Christine Flaherty, is fighting for her life. She needs a liver transplant—and without it, her doctors have told us she may have only 2 years left to live.

This is not easy to share. For months, she kept her condition quiet, believing she had more time, hoping things would turn around. But a few weeks ago, we received the kind of news no family is ever prepared to hear: her liver disease has progressed, and the window for transplant eligibility is rapidly closing. We now have just 5 months to get her on the waiting list, and the process is already underway.

But here’s the challenge—we’re completely on our own.

My mom has no health insurance. She’s unable to work due to her worsening health. She’s applying for Medicaid and disability, but as many of you know, that help takes time—and time is the one thing we don’t have.

We’ve reached out to every charity and nonprofit we could find—large and small—but so far, nothing has panned out. Many programs are overburdened or have long waitlists. We’re still searching and staying hopeful, but right now, we urgently need direct support to keep her afloat.

In the meantime, she still needs to cover:

Ongoing doctor visits and evaluations

Lab work and transplant-related screenings

Life-saving medications

Basic living expenses like rent, utilities, and groceries

Without help, we won’t be able to afford the care she needs—or even meet her basic needs while waiting for government assistance.

That’s why I’m asking, from the bottom of my heart, for your help.

Even the smallest donation will help us bridge the gap. But just as importantly, we’re asking you to please share this campaign with everyone you know. We never imagined we’d be in this situation. But we’re here now, and we’re not giving up.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with hearts that are broken but full of hope. We lift up Christine to You—Your child, Your creation.

Lord, You are the Great Healer, the One who can do the impossible. We ask that You place Your hand upon Christine. Strengthen her body, renew her spirit, and open the doors she needs for treatment, resources, and healing.

Father, guide every doctor and nurse who touches her care. Provide answers where there are questions, and solutions where there is uncertainty. Let Christine feel Your presence in every moment of this journey.

We ask for peace to cover her, for compassion to surround her, and for provision to pour in from unexpected places.

You tell us that even mustard-seed faith can move mountains. So we place this mountain before You now, Lord—trusting You to move it.
