We urgently need your help for our dear friend Barbara Chenault, a true survivor who has faced unimaginable challenges in her life. As a child, she fled Uganda, living as a refugee before bravely fighting her way back to stability. For nearly 40 years, Barbara has dedicated her life to saving others as a Surgical Assistant/Technologist. She is a mother figure to many, always putting others first.

In June 2015, Barbara was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, a severe condition that attacked her bone marrow and blood. Despite a long and grueling battle, which included a life-saving bone marrow transplant, she emerged on the other side. However, this fight came at a tremendous financial cost, depleting her savings.

Just when Barbara thought she could finally find some stability, tragedy struck again in 2024 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Currently, she is unable to work and is facing another battle for her life. Barbara is determined to fight this cancer, but the costs associated with her treatment are overwhelming. Her health insurance simply isn’t enough to cover the expenses, and she needs your support.

We are raising funds to cover her chemotherapy treatment, which is estimated to cost $8,500. This is just the first step—further surgeries and treatments will also need funding.
