Join Us in Richard's Healing and Hope

My name is Richard Moore Jr. My father, Richard Moore Sr., and his wife, Becky Moore, are in need of help. My father has undergone a triple bypass and is currently hooked up to an ECMO machine. He is from North Dakota and is currently in Minneapolis while trying to recover and fighting for his life. He has been responsive and alert, but they need him to rest. Unfortunately, time costs money. He's a proud man and would never ask for a handout. I, on the other hand, am reaching out for help for him and asking for some grace and aid. His wife, Becky, and I have been staying in Minneapolis by his side. He is understandably unable to earn anything, and the hospital bills, motel, and everything else are starting to stack up.

My father is 57 years old. He is strong and serious in appearance, but deep down, he is a very caring, loving, and gentle giant. His love for his wife, four children, and five grandchildren is tremendous. He has lived a rough life, working hard to provide for his family, and unfortunately, the result is the fight he is going through. He is a devout Christian man and someone I lean on when I need advice.

My name is Becky Moore, Richard's wife. My husband and I are incredibly private people; however, we have found that the more people we share our experience with, the more prayers we receive. Such a blessing! Those prayers have gotten us through the three bypasses in Minot, ND, a flight to Minneapolis, MN, and set up with the absolutely amazing team of Cardiac ICU nurses and doctors here in Minneapolis. His recovery has been stymied by significant challenges. Just when he was alert, talking, and even eating a little, he had a serious setback and is now sedated and on a machine to help his body recover with some assistance. His recovery is really hour by hour to determine the next moves. His son and I are by his side from 8:00 am to 8:30 pm every day. During this time, Richard has no income, and I am quickly running out of paid FMLA.
