Dear friends and family,

My godchild Revna Super is fighting leukemia, and I'm asking you to help raise some much-needed funds for Rev — and for her family, so they can support her. This initial goal covers the urgent immediate costs of relocation, travel, and lost wages. This is a marathon, not a sprint, so we will update this page and the fundraising target as their situation evolves. Here is a message from Revna's parents, Julie Daggett and Steve Super, and her brother, Nate Super about what Rev is facing and how you can help:

Our beloved daughter, sibling, friend, and community member, Revna, was diagnosed in October 2025 with an aggressive leukemia/lymphoma at just 20 years old. This began as what looked like a stubborn ear infection but quickly became a life-threatening medical crisis.

Miraculously, after her first round of chemotherapy, Revna went into remission — the outcome we needed so she could qualify for the only curative treatment for this particular leukemia: a stem cell transplant. Her brother Nate was not a match, but we are profoundly grateful that another donor has been found.

Revna is now receiving care at UCLA’s Ronald Reagan Medical Center, where her hematology team has shown extraordinary skill, compassion, and devotion. She has formed meaningful relationships with her nurses, doctors, and support staff, and she often says this experience has taught her to “live Life with a capital L.” She is already imagining how she might someday use her creativity and art to support and uplift others on their cancer journeys.

Why We’re Asking for Support

The next 6–12 months will require our family to relocate part-time to Los Angeles for Revna’s treatment, recovery, and the strict protective isolation required after a stem cell transplant. This includes:

  • Frequent 3.5-hour trips each way between Los Osos and UCLA
  • Short-term hotel or Airbnb stays within 15 minutes of the hospital, so we can respond immediately if Revna develops a fever or complication
  • Lodging with two bathrooms, which is medically required during chemo due to immune risks and chemotherapy toxicities
  • Food and transportation costs across months of treatment
  • 24/7 caregiving needs during the transplant recovery period
  • Time away from our work so we can be fully present for Revna’s care

Both Steve and Julie will have to significantly reduce their work hours during this period — something that is emotionally difficult to admit, but essential for Revna’s safety and recovery.

This GoFundMe will help cover:

  • housing and lodging near UCLA
  • travel expenses
  • food and caregiving support
  • income loss during medical leave
  • respite care for both parents
  • recovery costs during Revna’s transplant period

Every dollar will help us stay by Revna’s side and meet the high medical and logistical demands of her treatment.

About Our Family’s Work in the Community

For 25 years, Julie Daggett, Ph.D., has served San Luis Obispo County as a clinical psychologist. She has worked with children, teens, and adults with ADHD, autism, anxiety, and complex learning needs; provided hundreds of psychological evaluations; led social-skills groups; consulted in schools; and trained teachers in best-practice classroom management across Kern and San Luis Obispo Counties. She also served as a psychologist at the California Men’s Colony before leaving to homeschool and rehabilitate Revna after a traumatic head injury at age 13.

Steve Super has owned and operated his own succulent nursery in Los Osos for many years and has collaborated with countless local artists, gardeners, landscapers, and plant enthusiasts. He is known in the community for his kindness, creativity, and willingness to help.

As a family, we have volunteered across:

  • Village Children’s Center
  • Baywood Elementary
  • Los Osos Middle School
  • Morro Bay High School
  • Pacific Beach High School

Our roots in this community run deep — and our gratitude for this place runs even deeper.

Revna’s Spirit

Despite everything she is facing, Revna remains brave, curious, funny, artistic, and wise beyond her years. She has inspired her care team with her resilience and her willingness to connect deeply with others.

She often tells us that her dream is to use her art to help people feel less alone in their darkest moments.

How You Can Help

This is the hardest chapter our family has ever walked through, and we cannot do it alone.

Your support will allow us to:

  • stay close to the hospital
  • provide 24/7 safe caregiving
  • reduce work hours so we can focus on Revna
  • manage months of travel, food, and lodging
  • give Revna the safe recovery conditions required for transplant
  • breathe, rest, and show up as the parents she needs

We are profoundly grateful for every donation, every share, and every message of love.

Thank you for helping us keep Revna safe, supported, and surrounded with love as she walks the long road toward full healing.

From our family to yours — thank you for holding us through this.

With love and gratitude,

The Daggett Super Family
Julie (mom), Steve (dad), and Nate (brother)
