Hello, this is my dad, Gary Dann Raty. He was born May 2nd, 1962, he passed away August 5th, 2025.
Around summer of 2022, he got really really sick, he couldn't keep anything he ate down, he had no energy, or appetite. He suffered a really bad infection that started in his left foot and slowly spread its way up his leg, along with other health complications, mainly diabetes, his left leg had to be amputated in order for him to come back home. He went through surgery fine, and was given a prosthetic leg to help him. He went through many months of physical therapy for him to regulate his balance and his body. We were all proud of him and he was proud of himself too.
These last past few years have been very difficult for him, he got sick again. We were able to celebrate his 63rd birthday at our home with him. He had his favorite, triple chocolate cake. He went to the hospital around late May of 2025 and informed us that his kidneys were failing him. We were told that he would have to get on hospice because there was no way he could recover. My father Gary Raty chose comfort over care.

We are now asking for your support to help us give my father the funeral and farewell he deserves. All funds raised will go directly towards his funeral arrangements and remaining medical expenses. It means everything to all of us as his family to be able to honor him properly and say our last goodbyes with dignity and care.

Any contribution, no matter the size, is deeply and sincerely appreciated. Thank you for supporting our family during this difficult time.

With love and gratitude,
The Family of Gary Raty
