Rebuild Jamaica with the Jam Pot Family

Hi, my name is Sarah Gucker. My partner, Sanjay, and I are raising funds for our family in Jamaica as well as a couple of schools he attended as a child. We are traveling to Jamaica in the coming weeks and will be using the funds entirely to purchase and bring food, water, and essential supplies to our Jamaican community and donate our time and energy to assist with rebuilding efforts.
Here are some words from Sanjay:
My name is Sanjay Taylor and I was born and raised in Jamaica. I went to Faith Basic School and Munroe Prep, where I learned the meaning of community, love, and helping one another. Those lessons have stayed with me through life. After seeing the heartbreak and destruction caused by Hurricane Melissa, I knew I couldn’t just sit back. My family and I are going home to help; to feed families, lend a hand in rebuilding, and bring hope where it’s needed most. Through private donations and also through my business, Jam Pot Café, I’m raising funds to buy food, supplies, and materials to support those who’ve lost everything. Jamaica gave me my start, and now I want to give back to the island that raised me. Any donation, no matter how small, will go a long way in helping our people recover and rebuild stronger together.
You can donate here on Gofundme, donate at Supportjamaica.gov.jm, Venmo (@sanjay_808), or at Jam Pot, our Jamaican cafe in Waimea, HI.
We’ll continue sharing updates as recovery efforts unfold.
Thank you for your love, generosity, and prayers. Your support means the world to us ❤️
