Jamaica Hurricane Relief Fund: Rebuilding Lives and Restoring Hope

In the wake of the recent catastrophic hurricane that swept across Jamaica, countless families have been left devastated. Homes have been flattened, crops wiped out, and vital infrastructure torn apart. For many, what was once a safe place to call home is now reduced to rubble and debris.

This campaign is dedicated to providing direct support to those who have lost everything. It’s not about one story—it’s about standing together as a nation in crisis. Every dollar raised will go directly toward essential supplies and rebuilding efforts for those displaced and in need.

We have partnered with Life in the Word Christian Centre, a registered nonprofit organization in Jamaica, to ensure that all funds are used responsibly and reach the families most affected. Shipments of 50-gallon barrels filled with essential food, medical, and household supplies will be sent from San Francisco to Kingston, then distributed across multiple parishes through trusted community networks, churches, and volunteers.

Emergency Relief & Basic Needs

• Supplying non-perishable food items such as rice, flour, tinned goods, milk, and baby formula

• Providing bottled water and water purification tablets

• Distributing emergency care packages with toiletries, soap, sanitary items, and baby essentials

Medical & Hygiene Support

• Helping local clinics and community nurses restock basic first aid supplies, pain relief, and antibiotics

• Providing hygiene and sanitation kits to prevent illness and infection in overcrowded shelters

Rebuilding & Shelter Assistance

• Supporting families who have lost their homes with temporary roofing materials, tarpaulins, plywood, and bedding

• Assisting with home repairs and rebuilding efforts in the most affected areas

Children & Education Support

• Helping children return to school by replacing lost uniforms, school bags, and supplies once it’s safe

• Offering emotional and practical support to children and families who are struggling to recover

• Canned foods (corned beef, sardines, tuna, mackerel, sausages)

• Crackers, bread, cheese, powdered drinks (Lasco, Tang)

• Bottled water bread

• Diapers, baby wipes, sanitary napkins, deodorant

• Clothing and footwear (shirts, pants, underwear, baby clothes, shoes)

• Blankets, tarpaulins, towels, and sheets

• Flashlights, candles, mosquito spray, garbage bags
