I am raising funds for the registered non-profit organization tabanni, which was established in Jordan in 2021. tabanni is committed to rescuing, rehabilitating, and providing medical care for animals in need across Jordan. The organization is entirely volunteer-based. tabanni has helped 1,376 animals through:
- Direct rescue
- TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) programs
- Local and international adoptions (including the United States)
- Community awareness campaigns to change public perception of dogs and cats
tabanni currently provides direct care to:
- 25 dogs, including 7 with special needs
- 24 cats, including 4 with special needs
- Weekly Friday Feedings: Food and medical care to more than 50+ stray dogs around Amman, Jordan
- Complete treatment, neutering, and vaccination of an average of 15 stray animals monthly (cats and dogs)
- Educational workshops promoting compassion and responsible care
- Building shelters to protect street animals from rain and cold
tabanni relies on donations to carry out their work. In order to continue providing care for as many cats and dogs as possible in Jordan, they are seeking funding to help cover their monthly expenses.
The average monthly cost of providing this care is:
• 8,600 Jordanian Dinars/12,130 USD for direct care (medical expenses, boarding, food, and purchase of equipment)
• 1,300 JOD/1,850 USD (administrative and logistical expenses associated with transportation)
tabanni's work addresses the immediate welfare of animals while also contributing to environmental conservation. By managing stray populations through humane methods like TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) (including anti-parasitic medication and vaccination), tabanni helps reduce the spread of diseases and helps promote healthier environments. This supports biodiversity and fosters sustainable coexistence between humans and animals.
Donating to tabanni will not only help them cover their ongoing costs, but will also enable them to expand their operations, allowing them to reach more animals, as well as replace their worn-out transport van for one that is more cost-effective and sustainable. Additionally, it will allow tabanni to continue their efforts to establish more TNR communities across Jordan.
