Hi, my name is Janni Boyd, Travis and Sarah Ervin’s aunt. l and I'm reaching out on behalf of Travis Ervin-a loving husband, father, and friend-who is currently facing the greatest medical challenge of his life.
Just two weeks ago, Travis developed a sudden fever that was ultimately diagnosed as severe pneumonia in his left lung. What initially seemed like a serious but treatable infection quickly escalated into a life-threatening crisis.
Before this, Travis had already begun undergoing evaluation at the Cleveland Clinic for a rare
autoimmune lung condition and had established a team of specialists that could help manage this rare condition. After spending a week at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, his condition worsened, and he was urgently transferred by ACLS ambulance to Cleveland, where top specialists in pulmonary care, infectious disease, and cardiology have been working tirelessly to create a treatment plan.
Despite their efforts, Travis's condition has continued to decline. He is now unable to breathe without high-flow oxygen support and his options for treatment have become limited. Yesterday, after a difficult medical team meeting, the
decision was made to attempt a high-risk surgery-one that has never before been performed on someone with Travis's complex medical history. Surgery scheduled for 4PM EST July 3.
Sarah has been by his side through it all and now their two children, Tristen and Lily have joined them in Cleveland. The emotional and financial strain on the family has been immense. With Sarah staying by Travis's bedside in Cleveland, they're now facing astronomical living expenses, on top of what are sure to be overwhelming medical bills.
For those who know Travis, you know the kind of man he is-selfless, kind and giving.
Even in the early days of this illness, if a nurse or technician seemed to be having a bad day, he would ask if he could pray with them.
He is just the kind of person who shows up for everyone else as a husband, father and friend.
Now, we're asking you to show up for him.
Your donation-no matter how big or small-will help cover:
* Medical expenses not covered by insurance
* Temporary living costs for his family in
Cleveland
* Meals, transportation, and other necessities
Above all, please lift Travis and his family up to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We trust in his sovereignty and provision!! Also, please consider giving whatever you can to help offset their immediate needs.
Travis, Sarah, Tristen, and Lily need all the prayer, love and support they can get right now.
Thank you for standing with them during this incredibly difficult time.
You may reach out to me directly through messenger with any questions. Thank you for standing in the gap with Travis and his precious family.
With great gratitude,
Janni Boyd on behalf of his family
