Join Us in Praying for Lisa's Recovery

Dear Family, Friends, and Loved Ones,

The past few months have brought unexpected challenges for our family. For those who know our mom, Lisa, you know how much she treasures moments when our whole family can be together. Earlier this fall, many of us gathered for a homecoming football game in Virginia, where we first noticed that our mom wasn’t her usual bubbly, life-of-the-party self.

After returning home, she underwent numerous doctor’s appointments, medical tests, and a great deal of uncertainty about the symptoms she had been experiencing. This past week, our mom was admitted to the hospital, where doctors now strongly suspect she has a form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma called splenic marginal zone lymphoma. She is currently receiving treatment in the critical care wing and is being closely monitored by an exceptional team of doctors, nurses, and caregivers.

Many of you have asked how you can support us during this time, and we are humbly reaching out to share ways you can help.

First and foremost, we ask for your prayers.
Over the past couple of months, our mom has been moved to tears by the love and support she’s received—your prayers, Mass and Rosary intentions, and messages of encouragement. If you’ve ever visited our home, you may have seen her “Prayer List,” where she faithfully records the names and intentions of loved ones. Our family deeply believes in the power of prayer and has already witnessed many blessings, even in the midst of this difficult journey. Thank you for lifting her up in prayer and for surrounding her with your love.

Another way to support is through donations.
This was not an easy decision for us to make, as discussing finances can be uncomfortable. However, we recognize the financial burden that comes with out-of-pocket medical expenses, unpaid wages during our mom’s time away from work, and other unforeseen costs. While there is absolutely no obligation to contribute, any amount—big or small—is deeply appreciated and will go a long way in supporting our mom’s care.

Lastly, we encourage you to follow this page.
We will use it to share updates on our mom’s health journey. For those who have experienced something similar, you know that healing is not a linear process—it comes with many highs and lows. We hope this page will help keep everyone informed and connected.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, prayers, and support during this time. Our mom means the world to us and to so many people she has touched throughout her life. She’s always taught us that we are stronger together, and we are reminded every day that you are an extension of the incredible community of love she has built.

With deep love and gratitude,
