Help Rose Korp Fight Brain Cancer: Support for Medical Expenses

Hello, dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,

I’m reaching out to share the journey that my dear Sister Rose Korp is currently on a journey marked by strength, courage, and the fight of a lifetime. Recently, she was diagnosed with an aggressive brain cancer, a life-changing diagnosis that has brought both physical and emotional challenges to our family.

As you can imagine, the treatments required—surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, medications, and follow-up visits—are vital but come with overwhelming costs. The expenses go beyond what insurance can cover and include not only the medical treatments but also additional therapies, transportation to specialized clinics, and ongoing support for the healing process.

We are committed to standing by Rose’s side and supporting her every step of the way. However, we need your help. This is where our community comes in: friends, family, and even kind-hearted strangers who feel moved to make a difference.

Your donations will go directly toward:

- Medical treatments and surgeries

- Hospital stays and specialist consultations

- Travel expenses to/from treatment facilities (6 weeks of a 60-mile round trip)

- Medications, therapies, and rehabilitation needs

- Basic living expenses as she recovers as Rose and Matt are both retired

No donation is too small, and every bit of support, whether financial or through sharing this campaign, means the world to us. Together, we can help ease the financial burden so that Rose and Matt can focus solely on the fight against this illness. Your generosity and kindness will be the light that helps us through this dark time.

Please keep Rose and her family in your thoughts and prayers and thank you for being part of this journey with us.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Ken Crawford (Brother)

This is my mom’s story.
My mom, Mrs. Rose Korp, was diagnosed with grade 4 Glioblastoma brain cancer on October 8, 2024. She underwent a risky brain surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible, and the neurosurgeon was able to remove about 80% of the tumors. Once my mom recovers from surgery, she will continue her fight with radiation and chemotherapy treatments.

With God's strength, my mom has already endured multiple scans, brain surgery, and a 2-day ICU stay. As strong believers in the power of prayer, my parents ask that you pray if you feel led. We stand on God's promise as Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals, believing in His unwavering goodness and love that pursues us.

Any financial help during this challenging time would be a tremendous blessing. My parents are trusting in the Lord’s provision, but they also value the importance of community. I am so grateful for our family and friends who care and support them.

Rose Korp, my remarkable mother, selflessly dedicated 41 years of her life to teaching and ministry while nurturing her loving family as a devoted wife, mother to her 3 children, and Mimi to her 7 grandchildren. She attends Bowman Hills Seventh-Day Adventist Church and was a teacher at Bowman Hills School for over 20 years. She taught 5th and 6th grade and then 1st and 2nd grade. During that time, my Dad also taught 7th and 8th grade and then later became the principal of Bowman Hills. She has a passion for teaching young minds to read and write. She loves music and enjoys playing praise and worship songs on her piano and guitar. My mom isn’t just a teacher, she’s a walking example of Christ’s love. She taught her children and students how to praise God in the storm, and now, she is living out that example. She retired this year in June of 2024 (My Dad retired the year before) and they are ready to fight this so they can enjoy their retirement. If you ever met Mrs. Korp, you know she is a shining light for Jesus. Since being here in the hospital, she has been glowing and continues to spread the goodness of God to everyone she meets.

Thank you everyone for all your texts, prayers, love, and support. We feel it.

Pray and praise to our God today, for He is good.
