Hello Everyone,
Psalm 139 is the passage our mom prayed over us as children and had my brothers memorize. "All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be...." Man, those are hard words to say right now, and believe wholeheartedly. But, we do believe it, and we know that God knew this day was coming before we did.
About 1 week before Christmas, Jared was fighting what we thought was a stomach bug. Fast forward to Christmas Day, and he had a horrible headache we thought could be a migraine along with dizziness. The day after Christmas, I took him to Urgent Care for help. He felt a little better for 4 hours, then the pain returned. The following day, our mom took him back up to Urgent Care to see if we could get an IV, but they were unable to. He attempted work where he was falling over, and his manager, very concerned about him, encouraged him to go to the Emergency Room. Jared Ubered to the Emergency Room. The doctor told him they thought he was having Vestibular Migraines. Shane picked Jared up from the ER and drove him home. The next morning, when my mom was picking him up from work, he mentioned his vision was blurry with an aura and he had passed out. Our mom remembered that the paper he was sent home with said if his vision changed to bring him back, so they went to the ER. Two hours later, while sitting in the ER, Jared began seizing. My mom had to get help, and they took him back for an immediate CT scan where they found a large mass on his right frontal cortex. They told us they were going to admit him to the Neurology Floor and he would have surgery next week. His diagnosis happened Friday, January 3rd.
Today, January 5th, he had his MRI to get better imaging of the mass on his brain. He has surgery scheduled for Thursday, January 9th. He is battling massive head pain and nausea.
He will be out of work for at least 4-8 weeks. His regular bills, as well as hospital stays, food, and parking, are already beginning to add up.
If you felt led to give, we would appreciate it, but please know prayers are what we are asking for most! We know that God is the ultimate healer and has Jared, his surgeons, nurses, and us all in His hands.
