Hello everyone,
This post is really hard for me to make, but I want to share an update on my wife and me.
We've had a wonderful two+ years of marriage and recently announced that we are expecting a baby in May 2025! My job was going well after a year-long hiring process while I worked at my previous job. I even obtained a Class Two medical clearance and was excited about the new opportunity and career. However, during my training, I started experiencing abrupt symptoms that led to a diagnosis of kidney disease. I was diagnosed with Primary FSGS, and due to the numerous medical appointments and procedures, I had to resign from my job and put it on hold.
We are currently back in Ohio to be close with family and closer to the Cleveland Clinic. We are hopeful that we caught the disease early enough for me to go into remission with the medication I'm taking, avoiding dialysis or more severe treatments. We are incredibly grateful for all the blessings life has given us and remain positive about the future. I aim to achieve remission, possibly full remission, by next year and return to the workforce. Updates to follow.
If you would like to donate, we have decided to open a GoFundMe for medical bills, and the baby.
Thank you for your support.
