Our story
It’s time to share our IVF journey and ask you to be apart of it.❤️
As many of you know, Sydney and I have dreams of starting / adding to our family. Unfortunately, we’ve faced unimaginable heartache along the way.. Totaling five years now. 4 loses and accruing more medical debt than I think we can ever pay off, with no baby yet.
Five years ago Sydney had back to back ectopic pregnancies. Those 2 ectopic miscarriages unexpectedly resulted in requiring a laparoscopic surgery with the removal of a fallopian tube. (It is a less than 1% chance for a woman to have back to back ectopic miscarriages).
Both losses have been a heavy blow emotionally, physically and financially, as you can imagine already. Which now our hopes of having a baby is only possible through the process called IVF.
A lot like everyone else we hoped to conceive naturally. After careful consideration and prayer, along with seeing doctors and fertility specialists- we have confirmed and feel strongly to pursue IVF. The results / meetings have given us hope that Sydney’s body is healthy and ready for harboring an embryo. For this route is now our only hope of growing our family naturally.
Unfortunately, neither of our insurances cover ANY of the costs for IVF, adding to the financial strain we’ve already faced from surgery expenses and past medical bills associated with the miscarriages.
We started IVF (update)
Last year we picked the CNY clinic in Colorado Springs. For their high success rate, and they are way more affordable than any clinic we found in Mn. Jan 2025 We were able to get 5 embryos but unfortunately we had a failed FET, and a chemical pregnancy at 6 weeks after our second embryo transfer. This year the cost of our transfer TRIPLES in price and the clinics won’t allow us to try again until we complete a panel of extra tests to essentially make sure no outside factors are contributing to the two losses. Which is a positive. However those tests are thousands of dollars we didn’t know/ plan for financially. We aren’t allowed to keep moving forward with our other three embryos until the bills are all paid in full…
Our largest dream as a newly married couple is to grow our family. All our wedding money went towards this process. We’re now reaching out to ask for your support in helping us make this dream a reality. Any contribution, big or small, will go directly towards the costs of IVF and the associated medical expenses.
Thank you for being a part of our journey❤️
A special thank you:
We are so thankful for everyone who has taken the time to read this- whether you know us directly or through someone else, you are connected to us in some way.
If you know us directly, you know how difficult this journey has been in all aspects of our life. This has tested and broken down every aspect of our lives, but God has been SO good to us through this- we know that He creates purpose through pain. We have found community that has wrapped us up, prayed for us, and has shown us the love of Christ in so many ways.
We have prayed, and will continue to pray for Gods timing/will for our family. If you are aware of the financial commitment, it is much more than we and most couples can afford without the support of others.
We are asking, as a Christian couple who will raise children to love God above all else, for help to begin our family. Although it can be hard to decide next steps, we feel confident that God has led us to this point to rest and rely more on our community and Him.
Whether you can/choose to support us financially or not, we desperately ask for prayers beforehand as IVF is not a guarantee, and the physical demands if IVF are not easy.
We would love to talk further with anyone who has any questions or would like to know more details of our story. Again, we know God already has our story written, and we are thankful for our community and those who choose to support us in so many different ways! We also have peace knowing that whether we are lucky enough to have a baby or not, we will spend eternity with Jesus and our army of babies in heaven one day! Thanks for your time and consideration!
