Hi everyone,

This is really hard for me to write, but I’m finally at a point where I know I can’t do this alone.

For almost three years now, Amari has been in my care. While it has only been considered “temporary” in the legal sense, in our hearts we’ve always known—she isn’t going anywhere. She is already family. She is already home.

Now it’s time to make that official.

We want to adopt Amari so we can give her the permanent stability, love, and security she truly deserves. After everything she has been through, she deserves a life where there is no uncertainty—only peace, safety, and belonging.

Unfortunately, when all parties aren’t cooperative, the legal process becomes incredibly expensive. After speaking with multiple attorneys, we’ve learned that the cost to move forward starts at around $10,000—an amount that is simply out of reach for us right now.

I’ve always tried to handle things on my own, but this is bigger than me. So I’m putting my pride aside and asking for help—from friends, family, and anyone willing to support us.

We’re not asking for anything extra—we’re just trying to make official what has already been true in our hearts for years: we want to be her legal parents.
