Kick cancer to the curb
It takes a village, and I’m calling out to you to lend a hand in this fight against this cancer bully. My sister Karla (58) has battled ovarian cancer. In April of 2024, she went through 6 rounds of chemotherapy and a total hysterectomy. After that, tests started showing numbers going down, but then we found out that the cancer returned. It’s in the peritoneal layer of her stomach/colon area. There are 3 areas, the biggest being 5mm.
While trying to continue working, it has been difficult. She has been hospitalized 3 times since the 16th of January, and at one point, while driving home from work, she was disoriented and took over an hour to get home. Her hemoglobin levels being low is causing some havoc and concern. With a few more chemotherapy sessions left to go and an upcoming PET scan, she will know how things are progressing.
In the meantime, it’s a struggle to keep up financially, so please consider any amount you can. Every bit helps and will ease the burden so she can concentrate on getting better, keeping her spirits and strength to fight back against this bully.
