Please join me in the support of our fun loving and dedicated family member, mother and grandmother, my mama, Jackie Vaughn, who is currently facing a major health crisis after being diagnosed with cancer in November 2024. Her battle to overcome this disease and regain her health has been mentally challenging, physically unsettling, and financially devastating. Since her diagnosis, she has been faced with a multitude of challenges with proper healthcare coverage that nearly threatened the ability to begin treatment immediately for an optimal chance for a successful recovery. She has had delay after delay and finally, 3 months later, City Of Hope is urgently rushing her radiation and chemo. Yes, she has cancer, but they also discovered a second mass, 4 inches across, sitting on her rectum and pushing her bladder high up. Because of this, she will be on a catheter for the duration of treatment and is having major issues “going” and lots of pain. Over these last few months, her journey to recovery has included several doctor appointments with many doctors, in multiple cities/states for various treatments. Unfortunately, due to this unforeseen diagnosis, her medical bills and daily expenses with medical supplies have increased tremendously and continue to add up. She has had several CT scans and MRI’s, with more to come, and 2 of those are $5000 for her portion after insurance. You can help her through this tough time with your contribution.
