Join Us in Making the Purple Skye Festival a Reality!
The Purple Skye Festival is a heartfelt event that honors our loved ones taken too soon due to drunk driving and supports parents of all ages who have lost children. We are excited to bring this festival back and make it even bigger and better this year!
Event Details:
Date: September 15th (Mi’lania’s Birthday)
Time: 1-7pm
Location: Buhlow Lake in Pineville, Louisiana
Dress Code: Wearing purple is traditional but not required! Kids can dress up as their favorite Disney characters, and parents can enjoy the food, fun, and vibes. We will also have activities for parents this year!
Why We Need Your Help:
Last year, we were unable to meet our fundraising goal, but we are more determined than ever to succeed this year. Our aim is to raise $5,000-$7,000 to cover the costs for the venue, entertainment, food, and other essentials. Your donations will help us bring this community event to life and honor those we've lost.
How You Can Help:
1. Donate: Every contribution, big or small, brings us closer to our goal.
2. Spread the Word: Share our campaign with your friends, family, and social networks.
3. Join Us: Attend the festival and bring a friend or two to enjoy a day of remembrance and community.
Our Vision:
The goal is to make the Purple Skye Festival an annual event for the community to enjoy, even for those who simply want to support the cause. If we reach our goal, we plan to host a second festival in Arlington, TX, extending the reach and impact of our mission.
A Note of Thanks:
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us year before last. Whether you helped with balloons, face painting, selling food and drinks, keeping things organized, or simply showed up to enjoy the day, your support meant the world to us. Let's make this year's festival an even greater success!
Together, we can create a lasting legacy and honor the memories of those we’ve lost.
Join us for the second, but surely not the last, Purple Skye Festival!
