Dear Friends ...

We are writing this on behalf of our dear friend Tina Callahan. You may not be aware, but Tina has had a very difficult time these past few years. Her brain and body have been declining in function. Tina was being treated with physical therapy as a "parkinson's patient" while awaiting an appointment with a neurologist and further diagnostic studies. Recently, however, Tina was hospitalized after the fire department found her on the floor of her home. An MRI of her brain revealed some answers ... Tina has hydrocephalus (excess fluid on her brain, cause unknown at this time).

Tina patiently awaits her follow-up appointment with the neurologist (end of May) and treatment plan (probable brain surgery) but in the meanwhile ...

- she recently lost her job as she cannot work a full day

- she lives alone

- she has no income

- she needs help with all activities of daily living

- she walks with a walker as the messages from her brain to her legs are not working well

- her gait is heavy and difficult (she shuffles, her legs quiver)

- she is relying on friends and food banks for food and groceries

- everything is difficult for her right now

We ask that you please consider donating to this fund to help Tina with her living expenses and medical bills. ANY donation is helpful and will be received with tremendous gratitude.

We ask that you also consider her for booking any travel needs. This is something she could do from home on a part-time basis. We promise to help double-check the bookings to ensure that they are accurate.
