Ramen was born with a severe form of hip dysplasia and was discarded by his breeder. When I rescued him, I was aware he would have numerous health concerns to overcome, but I wasn't as prepared for how many would pop up in just 6 months. Due to his form of hip dysplasia, his rear legs are permanently deformed, causing him to have limited mobility.
We were just getting ready to explore the option of knee/hip replacements for him when he became very ill. He has been in and out of the vet for the past week, and unfortunately his illness is only getting worse. His entire GI tract has shut down, causing stool to back up into his upper intestines. He is unable to use the litter box or eat anything at this point. Financially, this is starting to become very difficult to manage, due to the fact that all of the treatments and procedures we have tried so far, have failed.
Ramen has already overcome so much in his little 8 month life, and I have no doubt he isn't done fighting. He is the most resilient cat I have ever met, and I know he's not done beating the odds yet. Any little bit helps. I just want my little best friend to be happy, healthy and thriving again.
