*Update - thanks to everyone who has generously donated. We have almost met the original goal of $6,000. Way to go everyone! That will help them purchase the fencing materials for the property. We are raising the goal to help them offset all the other repairs they will have in the next several months. The barn was a total loss and had to be demolished. Every donation helps!

Our friends Lynley and Jason need your help. Their lovely home and farm in Liberty Hill suffered tremendous damage in the flooding over the 4th of July weekend. Their home was flooded and their barn was washed almost 100 feet off its foundation. The fencing that keeps the animals safe and secure within the property was badly damaged. Luckily no one was injured and all the animals (goats, cats, and dogs, even Jaks the llama) survived.

It was a chaotic night and the days since have been exhausting and devastating. They have started cleaning up with some help from others in their community. Thank goodness for the kindness of fellow Texans.

However, as many others in the area, their property was not listed in a flood zone and didn’t require flood insurance so all the expenses to rebuild will fall directly on them.

Jason is a dedicated school teacher and Lynley is a proud United States Air Force veteran and recently retired from her career with a state agency. They are amazing people who never hesitate to help others, and they deserve all the help we can provide.

One of their immediate needs is to get the fencing back up for the animals. Of course these awesome people are thinking of the animals safety before their own issues. In the meantime their home was flooded enough to where all of the flooring, baseboards and some sheetrock will have to be replaced.

Lets see if we can help get the fencing back up so they can focus on the house and a new barn for the animals.
