Join us in helping Finn Savage and his family

Finn is officially home as Monday, after 381 days in the NICU! Thank you for your continued support and prayers! Hopefully have more updates soon and how the transition is going!

Finnigan James Savage was born on March 11, 2022 at only 25 weeks old. He was 1 lb, 5 oz and was put on maximum support to help him breathe. Eventually, he was able to be weaned to a regular ventilator. In late May, Finn was diagnosed with Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD), a chronic lung condition affecting some premature babies. On June 1st, Finn was transferred to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus. They have a specialized NICU treating children with BPD. Since then, Finn has grown and developed but his lungs remained a step behind. After months of a rollercoaster of progress and setbacks, Finn underwent a tracheostomy and other general surgeries including getting a g-tube(feeding tube) on January 30th. He is currently recovering from the surgery and the family is hopeful he will be home sometime this spring.

While Finn has been at Nationwide, Ashley and Danny and their moms have rotated going down to Columbus and spending time with Finn. They have been staying at the Ronald McDonald House right across the street. Oliver and Sawyer have even got to go stay down there but have yet to meet Finn. It has been a long journey and Ashley, Danny, and their family and friends have gone above and beyond to keep Oliver and Sawyer’s lives as normal as possible.

This GoFundMe has been created to help the Savages prepare for Finn’s homecoming. The money raised will go towards medical supplies and an addition to their house to give Finn and his home health aide a space of their own. It will also be used to enlarge a bathroom to allow for Finn to have a stand alone tub and be able to get all his equipment in the bathroom.
