My best friend of 25 years, who is family to me, is Eileen, and she is in a bad place. She fell in October 2025 and suffered a traumatic brain injury, from which she is valiantly fighting to get better from in a rehabilitation facility.

At the same time, we got the horrible news that back taxes were due on her home and someone has bought the debt. They began foreclosure proceedings. If we don't sell quickly, she'll lose her home and make nothing off of the sale. Those funds are what she planned to live on. We are sadly left with the only solution of selling the home she grew up in. It is alot to have over her head as she fights to get better.

We need money to do a major clean-out, get the house on the market, get an attorney to represent her rights in this process, moving and storage expenses, the cost of transport to bring her here so she can decide what to keep, people to pack, etc. It is alot. We have 4 months to do this.

Eileen is the kindest, most generous person I've ever met. She's helped many despite being disabled since 23. She is so strong. With one arm and in a wheelchair she granted her mom's wish to die at home at 95. Her mom never had to leave home.

Eileen is only 59, and we are hoping she can come home with the help of an aid, even if it's to a new home. She hopes to not live in one of these facilities where she'll be given $50 a month for all her needs while her disability check goes to them. It isn't a place for the young. She would also be devastated to lose her emotional support parrot, Shayla, who is with me for now.

This is bigger than us, and we need help. She needs to concentrate on getting better. Any money will go towards the above things. Any amount will help. If you can, please send this to others.
