Help Us Support Our Daughter's Life-Saving Thymus Transplant Journey
Our precious daughter has been diagnosed with a rare genetic condition known as Complete DiGeorge Syndrome, accompanied by congenital athymia—a condition where the body is born without a functioning thymus gland. The thymus plays a crucial role in developing a healthy immune system, and without it, she is extremely vulnerable to infections.
Her only hope for a stronger and healthier future is a thymus transplant, and thankfully, she has been approved for this specialized surgery at Duke University Hospital. While we are incredibly grateful for this opportunity, it also means relocating out of state for an extended period—potentially up to 2 months or longer—for the surgery and post-operative care.
During this time, our family will have zero income, as we are relying on unpaid FMLA to be with her every step of the way. The costs of travel, temporary housing, meals, and everyday expenses are overwhelming on top of the emotional weight we are carrying.
We’re reaching out to our community, family, and friends to ask for support during this critical time. Any contribution—big or small—will go directly toward making it possible for us to be by our daughter's side without the added stress of financial strain.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us fight for her future. Your prayers, shares, and support mean the world to us.
