**update**
We are in tears of gratitude—thanks to you, we’ve reached our original goal to cover Gracie’s first steps to treatment. The relief of knowing these first steps are possible is something we’ll never forget. As we continue on this journey, Gracie does have more treatments and longer-term care ahead that we initially didn’t want to put the burden on anyone else, but people are continuing to reach out and encouraging us to not be afraid to ask for help. Because of this, we would like to keep the gofundme open for anyone who feels called to continue supporting Gracie’s healing. Please know that reaching our first goal was already such a blessing and the love that was shown for her was unbelievable. Thank you.

Hi, my name is Tiffany and I’m the proud mom of Gracie — a bright, driven, 18-year-old who was healthy, active, and thriving just six months ago. She was about to graduate with honors, serving as President of her FFA chapter, raised livestock in 4H, and was headed to Oregon State University this fall to pursue her dream of becoming a large animal veterinarian.

But on February 15th, 2025, everything changed.

Gracie went to the ER for chest pain, which quickly spiraled into something far more frightening. In the following weeks and months, she began experiencing shortness of breath, dangerously low oxygen levels, skyrocketing heart rates, full-body nerve pain, and complete physical exhaustion. She's been hospitalized multiple times — including an extended stay due to a serious reaction to IGG treatment that caused aseptic meningitis. She's had multiple spinal taps, MRIs, nerve studies, and blood work that showed alarming results — yet no doctor could give us real answers.

Despite it all, Gracie fought to finish high school while hospitalized. She made it to graduation — in pain, but determined. But her condition worsened. She now cannot walk more than 10 feet without a walker or collapsing. She spends most of her time in a wheelchair or lying flat, relying on high levels of medication just to endure the day.
The hardest part? Her doctors gave up.

She was eventually sent home from inpatient rehab with no clear path forward — just a vague neurological diagnosis and a heartbreaking message: “You’ll have to learn to live like this.” They dismissed her worsening pain and even her concerning mental health state as something she just needs to "think positively" through.

But we refuse to accept that this is the end of Gracie’s story.
After months of searching, we finally found hope — a neurological clinic in Lake Oswego that specializes in the kind of complex, misunderstood disorders Gracie is suffering from. In just a two-hour evaluation, they diagnosed her with:

* POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome)
* Chronic Fatigue Syndrome from viral onset
* Psychological trauma from repeated medical dismissal or past stress that caused symptoms of FND (Functional Neurological Disorder)

They have a proven two-week rehabilitation program designed to retrain the brain, manage pain without additional meds, and restore basic function. We've seen real success stories from patients who were once in her exact condition — and we truly believe this could be the turning point Gracie desperately needs.

But here’s the catch: They don’t accept insurance.

We’ve already spent everything we have — traveling to specialists, trying alternative treatments, missing work to care for Gracie full time. We’re emotionally and financially exhausted, and that’s why we’re turning to our community, friends, and family to ask for help.

We need to raise $40,000
to cover the cost of this intensive treatment and give Gracie a real chance at healing.

Where your donation will go:

* Medical evaluation and treatment at the Lake Oswego neurological clinic
* Two-week intensive brain retraining & rehab program
* Pain management and therapy not covered by insurance
* Transportation for treatments
* Ongoing support care and equipment needed at home

From Gracie’s Family:

We are embarrassed to ask for help. But I’m also a mom who refuses to watch her child suffer another day without doing everything possible. If we could take her pain on ourselves, we would. If we could pay for this on our own, we would. But now — We really need your help.
If you can give, thank you — from the bottom of our hearts.
If you can share this story, thank you.
If you can pray, hope, or just send love our way — we feel it and are deeply grateful.

We still believe in Gracie’s future.
We just need help getting her there. ❤️

With love and hope,

Gracie & Family
