Join Us in Giving Doreen Hope and Strength

Dear family and friends,

I have been praying for a miracle for my very best friend and sissy, Doreen. I know many of you have been doing the same. We are truly blessed to have so many family members and friends supporting us on this journey, loving us, and praying with us.

This week we received very disappointing news; she was told that she is officially off the UCSF trial because she was not benefitting from it, her tumors have grown, moved elsewhere, and they currently do not have treatment plans but are looking vigorously for options. We appreciate the clinicians and staff who continue to work hard for and with my sister.

However, our family believes in the creator of all and the savior of the world, our Lord Jesus Christ! We believe he died on the cross and rose again that we may live. That is all we want is for my sissy Doreen to live a long, blessed, and abundant life.

Up until this week she has not been open to alternative, more holistic treatment options, but praise God my brother Danny finally convinced her to consider everything, and now she is willing to. The main reason she wouldn’t even consider alternative approaches was due to the out-of-pocket costs and becoming a financial burden to us or anyone for that matter. She is so strong, independent, proud, and courageous that she literally just stopped working last week because her doctor made her.

My beautiful cousin Nena and her family had a great idea of planting the first seed of $600.00 of faith to show her that the money should be the last thing on her mind, that she is not a burden, and that we are all ready to help and support her in her fight spiritually, emotionally, and, if you are able/willing to, financially.

As my cousin Nena stated, I know she has a testimony to tell, and her fight is not over!!! I firmly believe that, and I am praying that you all will come into agreement with us to help my sister understand she has an army behind her in her fight with cancer.

I am asking, no pleading, that you stand in faith with us. Whatever you can do to support her will be a blessing, and although only the Lord knows what the future holds for her, Jeremiah 29:11 states For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

What my sissy needs the most now is HOPE! Please join us! I love you all.
