Join Us in Giving Aneli a Fighting Chance

A nuestra amiga Aneli Prado Flores la vida le ha jugado una muy mala pasada y necesita ayuda con urgencia. En 2020 le fue confirmado el diagnóstico de cáncer de mama y desde entonces todo su cuerpo batalla con las muchas agresiones a que ha sido sometido. Más allá de los tratamientos, la sostiene la tremenda fortaleza de su espíritu, el amor de su familia, de su

mamá Ofelia, de su hermana Alina y, sobre todo, de sus tres pequeñines – Dieguito, Isi y Ane -y papá Diego.

Aneli ha sido una mujer feliz, bendecida por todo lo que la vida le ha dado y por lo que ella, con esfuerzo, a conseguido. Con ella hemos compartido campañas arqueológicas y expediciones espeleológicas, hemos sido voluntarias en el monitoreo del desove de tortugas marinas, compañeras de clases, colegas de buenos y de malos momentos. En Chile, donde eligió vivir hace algunos años, encontró el amor de Diego y conoció la dicha incomparable de ser mamá.

Para que por muchos años pueda disfrutar de la compañía de esa familia hermosa (su manadita!!!) queremos ayudar a Aneli, ahora, sin pérdidas de tiempo, cuando los cuidados que necesita podrían ser otros y no son suficientes los recursos económicos que la familia percibe. Su situación médica es grave, pero creemos en la posibilidad de acceder a nuevos tratamientos alternativos que complementen los procedimientos que hasta ahora ha recibido. Con la tenaz esperanza de que ello pueda suceder, convocamos a sus amistades y a todas las personas que solidariamente quieran colaborar, a contribuir en la colecta de fondos destinados a los cuidados por la salud de Aneli. No importa cuanto. Un poco cada uno.

Our friend Aneli Prado Flores needs help urgently. In 2020 her diagnosis of breast cancer was confirmed and since then

her whole body struggles with the many aggressions to which she has been subjected. Beyond the treatments, she is sustained by the tremendous strength of her spirit, the love of her family, her mom Ofelia, her sister Alina and, above all, her three little ones – Dieguito, Isi and Ane – and dad Diego.

Aneli has been a happy woman, blessed by all that life has given her and by what she, with great effort, has achieved. With her we have shared archaeological campaigns and speleological expeditions, we have volunteered in monitoring the nesting of sea turtles, and we have been her classmates and colleagues in good and bad times. In Chile, where she chose to live a few years ago, she found Diego's love, and knew the incomparable joy of being a mother.

So that for many years she can enjoy the company of that beautiful family (her little herd!!) we want to help Aneli, now, without wasting time, when the treatments she is receiving could be better and the economic resources that the family has are not enough. Her medical situation is serious, but we believe in the possibility of accessing new alternative treatments that complement the procedures she has received so far. With the tenacious hope that this can happen, we call on her friends and all the people who want to collaborate in solidarity, to contribute to the collection of funds for Aneli's health care. It doesn't matter how much. A little each.
